Welcome to Hamlet.rt

Hamlet.rt is a clinical study run by the Cambridge Clinical Trials Unit at Addenbrooke's Hospital.

You can find more information about the study here

Study summary

The Hamlet.RT aims to improve patient safety by developing novel machine learning and mathematical models of side effect risks for cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy.

It is run by Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and uses patient questionnaires to monitor toxicity experienced by patients over 5 years.

The University of Cambridge will develop machine learning models to predict toxicity.

The study will use Microsoft InnerEye machine learning technology to help perform segmentation of medical images.

Tumour types

We are building the predictive models for patients with prostate, head & neck, brain and lung tumours.

We aim to recruit around 350 patients over a 3 year period.

Image database

At the end of the study, we will create a shareable anonymised dataset for global research in machine learning for medical imaging.
